For some reason it always struck me as a kind of rejected 'new' Eagle story-and I mean that as a compliment!

There's a very definite V For Vendetta vibe about proceedings too if I recall.

I would say Urban would do it at the drop of a hat.

Or drop of a Judge's helmet even!

The problem for me is that "dredd" was the perfect iteration of the character.....i don't want to see a reboot, I want more Urban and Thirlby.

Likewise!

Given the amount of time that has passed a 'reboot' –soft or otherwise– might be the preferred option by a new investor/whoever's in charge of creatively bringing it back. The more time passes, the more a blank-slate makes sense in terms of marketing and creativity. After all it won't be DNA's film and it's newfound awareness that another iteration would be capitalising on.

5 years this September!

Jesus, that's gone quick!!!!  :o

Local comic store wants £12.99(?!) for this. Sounds a bit mad to me. Thinking of trying my luck with FP's online store.

Forbidden Planet online have it at a reasonable price, but that Ryan Brown variant seems to be rarer than hen's teeth and is going for big bucks on Ebay!

The 2012 movie set the groundwork for adaptations to come, so I'd assume a continuation of that would be the most logical way to go.

Lovely Fegredo art, I bought this as a print off him at the 40th bash!  :)

Still waiting for my copies (and assorted variants) to arrive.

The Wagner/Grant/Dillon Cry Of The Werewolf is a recognised classic and I'm especially looking forward to McCrea's take on the tale, as I'm a big fan of his art.

As a side note, his work with John Wagner on the forthcoming Dredd 'Mechanismo' strip, as previewed in today's newsletter, looks particularly tasty!  :)

And I loooove Deadworld - the only thing that grates slightly is the sarcastic bike computer (I mean ... why?)

That's one of the best bits about it IMHO!

Same here.

Malfunctioning A.I is the concept I guess.

I like it, it adds a little levity to the otherwise grim proceedings.  :)

I think that's my trouble - it isn't a strip that suits levity! Also, I'm unsure why a biological/magical/mass murder apocalypse would cause a bike to develop a bizarre wisecracking personality

Oh I don't know.
The Dark Judges, even in their earliest days, had their moments of wisecrackery-even if it was of the blackest kind.  :)
