To tell the truth, you can all get screwed.

I'm guessing she won't actually be invisible for much of the film ...

And they could have easily cut corners on the budget by not hiring anyone for the role...
Better set your phaser to stun.

Is she about to do the washing up?

? Jessica Alba, 23, star of TV's Dark Angel, is Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, who has a romance with Reed.

? Welshman Ioan Gruffudd, 30, goes from Lancelot in King Arthur to scientist Reed Richards, whose Mr. Fantastic has the ability to stretch.

? Chris Evans, 23, currently seen in Cellular, is Sue's bro Johnny, a cocky pilot who turns up the heat as the Human Torch.

? The most recognizable face is also the most covered. Veteran actor Michael Chiklis, 41, of TV's The Shield, will grumble his way through the role of Ben Grimm, aka the Thing, a boulder-bodied mound of power whose battle cry is "It's clobberin' time!"

Heh, gives me a good excuse to post this:

Link: http://www.ninthart.com/display.php?article=925" target="_blank">John Byrne is a prick - AGAIN!

Bico

Byrne's comments that latino women with dyed-blond hair look like sluts and hookers has been taken out of context - what he ACTUALLY meant to say was that ALL women are whores.  Mind you, I'm only saying that because I've read his work, and I don't need to have it spelled out for me.

He does, of course have a point - sort of.  Would it have escaped comment if a black actress had played Mary Jane in the spider-man movies?  Don't think so.  The Pete Ross character in Smallville (spit) was played by a black actor, and look how well the corn-chewing neanderthals who watch the show took to HIM.  Written out without a second thought.
And can anyone explain to me how, if Pete and Clark grew up together, Pete talks like those caricature african-american stereotypes that populate American television like a pox?  Especially kids television shows, worryingly.

(and if you're thinking "well, because ALL black people talk like that", you're either an idiot, or the producer of Smallville)

Richmond Clements

Did you have a look at that Byrne forum!?
Fuck me, what a pile of losers. It's a fucking comic people!

Bico

I wouldn't chuck stones, Rac.  We're about due another Dredd movie thread any day now, and we all know how well recieved the changes to the character in transition to the big screen were by 2000ad readers.  If the hayseed-chomping fans of Byrne want to spout off about the changes to their favourite characters, then let them do so.  How would you feel if some of Banksie's books got the hollywood treatment by way of Battlefield Earth?

None of which changes the fact that, of all the comic-books I couldn't give a flying toss about seeing as a movie, Fantastic Four is right up there alongside Vampirella and Lady Death - but if Jessica Alba and her pert little nugs are in it, I'll probably download it.
Hooray for nugs!

Queen Firey-Bou

aye she is pretty, nice suit...

i say this to proove the point that i can tell an attractive woman when i see one, & are not driven my some insane bimbo based jealousy to diss all celeb type women. i will now re-iterate previous statements, britney spears looks like shit.

anyway did someone mention that lancelot bloke ? mmm pretty cute but it was galahad ( ? bloke with the bird? ) who is enough to set me foaming at the mouth ( attractive , but then i'm not a celeb so who cares ). anyone got a pic ? i'm lazy.

Floyd-the-k

Jess thingumy doesn`t do it for me, but here`s hoping the film`s alright. I always assumed Sue Storm was middle-aged too. She was married and all that.
I didn`t go to the John Byrne forum, but I think he has a point about the hair
