I just wondering what this particular game is like and if anybody here has it or remembers playing it.

How does it compare to 'Block Wars'?

I may try and source it on Ebay if it's any good.

You can arrestJjudge Death for littering in it, which is great and gonzo and in keeping with the spirit of Mega City One.

Immensely good fun, even allowing for the Future-Shock-inducing presence of the Black Atlantic on the west of the map.  Very simple and entertaining, if a lot depending on dice rather than strategy, with great art throughout.

Haven't played Block Wars or Rogue Trooper.

I bidded for both the Judge dred and Rogue Trooper board games nearly halfa year ago whne they were being auction on Ebay and lost. Though I did win the 'Block Wars' game.

Though releived being that they were expencive. Alittle beyond my means.

Whilst looking around for that same 'Rogue Trooper' game. I found the 'Rogue Trooper' GURPS rules incase anybody is interested.

The price for both Dredd and Rogue seems to have settled down a bit, so if you spend a bit of time waiting for a cheap one to come along, it should happen.

To paraphrase someone oin the board 'you must be very poor or a complete skinflint not to'

I would be VERY interested in a scan of those rules, Thryllseeker.  Could you tell me the issue number as well please?

Cheers :)

Yes, I don't have much money at the moment. Not after sending money away to Forbidden Planet for the latest bunch of Case Files.

Which rules would they be.

I only own the 'Block Wars' game.

The other two, I am looking for.

"Which rules would they be."

"I found the 'Rogue Trooper' GURPS rules incase anybody is interested."

Are you sure it has GURPS rules for RT in there?  It sounds like an article about the board game.  But I'd be very interested if it did have the GURPS rules.

ThryllSeekyr

I don't have that magazine.

I am thinking of buying it, though your quite free to.

 It's on Ebay.

As for thsoe GURPS rules. They may be just another article in the magazine.

See it writtene on the bottom on the left hand side.

I thought, that might have meant GURPS rules for 'Rogue Trooper'. Though I guess I might be mistaken.

Are those Nort snetry guns at his feet on the cover picture?

House of Usher

The Judge Dredd board game is daft fun, but the outcome can be a bit random and it seems to depend more on chance than skill. You move from sector to sector, arresting perps as you go. The perps and crimes are face down until you get to them, then you turn them over and add up their scores and see if you can beat them on a dice roll, throwing as many of your action cards at them as you think necessary, simulating the effects of back-up, weaponry, riot foam, etc.

You can also sabotage the other players by playing action cards against them to slow them down or try to make them end up in intensive care about 10 times per game. The winner is whoever finishes the game with the highest score after adding up the values of all the crimes and perps they've dealt with.

The luck-of-the-draw comination of perps and crimes produces idiosynchratic results, including all the minor offences Judge Death gets arrested for; and one of the action cards for sabotaging other players reveals several the villains per game, whether they be Judge Death or Orlok the Assassin, to be the even deadlier and harder to defeat Soviet agent Nikita Kramm in disguise! Also, I've a feeling the board artwork has the Black Atlantic in the west.
STRIKE !!!

Yep, I recall somebody commenting on a earlier occasion that the map on the board wasn't accurate. No that it appears to have made the game less exciting.http://images.boardgamegeek.com/images/pic229413_md.jpg">

I've got the solo game rules for the Rogue Trooper game kicking about some place. They were printed in a copy of White Dwarf about the same time the Rogue game came out.

I'll hunt for it and scan the page / host a link to a pdf if anyone's interested?

Cheers!
