Bored yesterday and couldn't come up with anything decent for the art compo.  So I figured I'd doodle and got the beginning of a Nikolai Dante piece.

Utterly brilliant. Love the greying at the temples. The facial expression really captures Dante's rogueish charm too.

Love the detail in the hair, lovely badger stripes!
I was going to procrastinate but I think I'll leave it till tomorrow

Ta folks.

Here's another from MONTHS back.  A swifty doodle of Ro-Jaws.

Pete Wells gave me a cracking idea for finishing the Dante doodle in a different way than I was intending which may well be seen later this week.

Great Dante, Mike. Looks like it was coloured using pastels.

Would be good to see more of Rojaws these days. I don't recall what happened to him.

Nice, what program did you use to draw and colour Dante.

I sketched the Dante piece on paper, scanned it, tightened the pencils up, inked and coloured in Illustrator (I know Manga Studio and Photoshop are preferred by many for these tasks but I don't have MS and am finding it slow going getting used to PS, I was using the piece as a learning experience (as I always seem to - always new things to be learnt after all).  I'm working it up into a more finished state when I have spare moments and it may appear again in it's final form somewhere soon.

I believe Ro-Jaws was last seen alive and well in ABC WARRIORS: "Hellbringer" but by the squad's next appearance he'd clearly been left behind somewhere - I wrote to the mighty one a few months back to enquire if we'd see him again soon and got a "keep watching the progs, Earthlet" - I rather suspect this means he'll EITHER show up again in ABC Warriors OR we'll see a younger Ro-Jaws in Savage at some point.  Or, if we're lucky, both.

Ta for the positive feedback guys.

Sweet.  I'll go get it later, I'm always up for new artistic tools as my penmanship without "redos" is squiffy to say the least.

Another 15 minuter doodle that went over budget.

Mike Gloady

Supersurfer, that's probably my favourite of your pieces.  Great!
