US Authorities Fear Thrill-Power Overload

Rebellion can confirm the US DEA seized San Diego Comic-Con-bound 2000 AD stock for inspection due to the threat of a Thrill-power Overload. The stock has since been released and the 2000 AD droids are hoping to have it delivered in time for the weekend of the convention.

2000 AD founder and British comics legend Pat Mills joins the droids at San Diego this year to launch the exclusive US line of graphic novels, which were not amongst the stock seized.

Too subversive for San Diego?

Or did the sniffers get it wrong again and mix up the paper coating with Semtex?

See, this is what happens when you let the colonies go independent...

They were probably stashing drugs in the containers to get them into the country...
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

I'd be surprised if Pat Mills isn't on some shady government watch list! Your phones will be bugged, so watch what you say. In fact, there's probably some spook somewhere wondering who this mysterious figure codename: Tharg really is!

CraveNoir

It's clearly an anagram of Garth. Maybe they should investigate Mr Ennis.

Peter Wolf

Who was it that tipped off the DEA then ?

Its a US govt agency so you have to expect incompetence and stupidity.

If you want to get drugs into the US then go through the [non-existent] US/Mexico border and make sure that you launder the cash through a major US bank.

I assume Tharg was trying to sneak polystyrene cups into the US ;)
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

They were after Tharg so they could autopsy him like at Roswell.

This DEA bust is just a cover story.

They were after Tharg so he can edit their comics into shape.

"Wacky alien editors we don't need".

Possibly the funniest line in 2000AD history (although "Dispensing pen, Rogue!" ran it a close second).

Cheers!

Maybe they thought they were tougher than Dreddy... :)
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.
