B.B King You upsets me baby.

when I read this the other day I remember thinking that BB must be getting pretty old now, and won't be with us much longer - they just announced today that he's died aged 89.

I blame Zarjazzer.
Well I was responsible for accidentaly near raising of great cthulu but to deny the world such genius is too evil even for me.
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.

I was just watching the trailer for Hawk the Slayer (Some of those special effects are awful!)

Then noticed the odd whistling effected used in the soundtrack, give the main synthesised track, a cowboy  western feel to it. Kind of like horse riding music.

I like that effect, but want to trash the rest of it.

Listening to the You-Tube-Soundtrack now.

This whistling effect really kick in half-way through the first song and main theme of the movie and then right at the start of Table of Five the third track listed. Most of the other music features this very same effect, but I like it more on this two tracks only.

Would love to find out what this effect is called and how it is made (If any of you would enlighten me here!) and  was really like to use that minus the synthesised music in that short Slaine promo I said I was working on.

Being trying hard to find music that might have been around before the great biblical flood and from that region.

Think of flutes and drums, but really like that other effect I mentioned and think it might be some sort of pipe sound.

I'm stumped on finding out what is the source of the sound I like on many of the tracks from this film

I'm going to hazard a guess that the source of the whistling effect is a whistle.
Most likely a tin whistle.
Peas sell. But who's Brian?

Now that the Faith No More album is officially out been listening to that pretty constantly.

It's great, 'Separation Anxiety' is a total stormer and I've been humming 'Sunny Side Up' non-stop today. Lovely to have a new FNM album in the world.

Thanx, looking into a Virtual Tin Whistle right now, don't think I'd like to try to learn to play a real one just yet.

All I know is that the composer who made that music was also known to have copied or been inspired by a similar effect used in the original War of the Worlds soundtrack.

Something I would like to ry myself  :)

Some PRODIGY popped up unexpectedly on my MP3 player this morning. Just the thing to help me enjoy the walk into work.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

Just listened to the latest Cradle of Filth album, having not listened to anything by them in about 15 years. I need to wash out my ears now.

Spirit of Eden - Talk Talk

Stressful week & feeling run down & grotty... one of my go to beautifully textured & life afirming albums.

It's just so wonderfully crafted and touches the soul in way the music doesn't need to be analysed.

If you've never heard it, really you must.

It's a joke. I was joking.

While I feel zero shame in saying that I loved (the) Verve and that I think is one of the best pop songs ever -

The Verve - Slide Away https://youtu.be/O4HXRAwn1Pk

Richard Ashcroft's solo material has always tip-toed a bit too close to this...https://youtu.be/s6FfjlxZLTk

and that's OK if you like that sort of thing - but I don't.
