Thank you!
Here's the next hero, the UK's very own Comics Laureate, Charlie Adlard:

Here's another hero who, in my head, is a newcomer to Tharg's droid shelter, but has actually been delivering scripts for more than a decade at this point. We are all getting old!

Arthur Wyatt

Catching up but wanted to stop by, not just to once again hail your superb blog but to salute the criminally under used Nigel Dobbyn.

I've always really loved his work and find it astonishing that he's not done more for Tharg. I get the description that his art is friendly and suspect that's part the reason he feel out of favour. To me though your description of the fact that this can make thigns more horrific hits the nail on the head. There are any number of strips in the last few years that I think would have been elevated by his art.

I'm lucky enough to own a three page sequence from the first Medivac 318 series when the nursey is supporting a wounded soldier while waiting for a pick up. Its beautiful, haunting and some atmospheric. I adore those pages and remember them from the day I first read them as being so atypical of 2000ad and yet therefore so 2000ad. Just glorious.

A full return for ACE Trucking is surely needed and Dobbyn's is perfect for the series... or any number of others!

If there was any justice, Tharg would have let him write that 101 Gronks strip that he pitched!

Well, Tooth's loss was STC's gain - his artwork on the Knuckles solo series was truly something special to behold. He and Richard Elson were the Mcmahon/ Ezquerra of that comic.

And you have to love the guy for his very 'punk' handling of the final Red Razors episode, if nothing else!

From the horses mouth a few weeks ago; "My Durham Red wasn't sexy enough".

Always loved his stuff, and it would be insane not to utilise his talent again in 2000AD or the Meg.
