Dredd v Aliens was undoubtedly a grab for new readers, but it was done remarkably seamlessly - it used the recently introduced Mr. Bones as villain, and in turn introduced Judge Sanchez (Origins) and the Verminators (Dark Justice). A better use of pages than most crossovers.

I enjoyed it - apart from that 'come and have a go if you think you're hard enough' line.

I heard rumours of this a while ago, and I'm soooo glad I can geek out about it in public now!!

And Mr Flint on art duties.  Don't forget Mr Flint on art duties!

I'm in the 'IDW Dredd, mmm' camp I'm afraid.  I'll have a squizz when it's finally out and see what it looks like but you can't mess with perfection (or as near as it gets so long as nobody mentions the summer offensive ... ah bugger!)

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't Dark Horse and IDW different companies?

This is due to hatch next Wednesday, only two covers for The Cellar to procure;

Not sure what to expect, but Layman is a pretty decent writer.

Magic 8-Ball sez; will be better than Judge Dredd Vs Predator / won't be as good as Incubus.

This.
I assume IDW have it under license from both Dark Horse and Rebellion

COMMANDO FORCES

Just finished this and it was an enjoyable read and it made me want to pick up issue 2, as if I wouldn't.
Dredd isn't quite there but I'm sure that as we move through the story he'll be as we're used to him. Just that Lawmaster mish mash jumping out at me, why! aaaargh!

Mine's on its way from Forbidden Planet, so very much looking forward to reading this-doubly so after Judge Burdis' guarded endorsement.  ;)

Yeah, it's not bad, have to say. Kinda nice to just have a Dredd tale plucked out of context like the glory days where the strip didn't have so much dour baggage. Part Island of Dr. Moreau, part Hotdog Run. Think it gets more right than wrong. It's not quite Dredd, but it's a closer shot than what IDW have currently been peddling. Art's decent too. Manages to just about touch the cloak of vintage Cam Kennedy. Nice and gritty.

I'll give it the thumbs-up. For whatever that's worth...

Seemed short but enough to make me subscribe on comixology. Dr Spider-face worked out what a face hugger was for rather easily didn't he? Still, easy when you're an evil super-villan. I suppose he didn't spend five years at evil medical school for nothing.

Really enjoyed this, some small quibbles maybe in tone
(Predator caught far too easily IMHO
) , but generally a really good read with great art.  Mostly a set up piece but most first issues are. Pre-ordered second already.
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.

Couldn't be arsed to wait for Forbidden Planet to deliver my physical copies so ordered a digital one!

I'll echo the sentiments of others, it's a really great read, a nice set up for the presumed battle royale to conme with some lovely art and I've no hesitations in ordering #2!

Great work people!
