This thread really should be moved to the Music section, shouldn't it?  That part of the forum didn't exist when I started it.  Any chance of shifting it up a section, Rich?

As you can see, I don't often look at this thread - but done!e

You may also observe that i don't either, despite starting it.. But thanks!

Now I understand.  Initially I thought it was a thread devoted to discovering and rediscovering music, but it's actually about discovering and rediscovering the thread itself!

Nice thread, just discovered it I think! Looking forward to see who else has discovered it!
It's a joke. I was joking.

I, Cosh

Had never heard of Radian until a few days ago. Have listened to this track at least fifty times since. It's almost perfect. And it's called Scary Objects.

Blimey, and I thought Zappa's 'Jazz from Hell' was a difficult album!  I must be getting old.

That sounded more like a soundscape than music.  Something you might hear in a post-apocalyptic movie of some kind.

PS - I'm rediscovering Nina Simone at the moment.

I bloody leave these ones in particular:

Paul Kelly - The A to Z Recordings.

Fantastic Australian singer-songwriter.

A mate at work lent me his best of compilation, Songs Of The South, and i've been lucky enough to be able to download a lot of his albums on Spotify. The live album with Paull Finn is absolutely brilliant.

I'll link a few songs later when i get home.

I strayed across The The recently.

Am surprised how albums like Soul Mining, Infected and Mind Bomb hold up. I expected that they would have dated more, like most music from the 80s (to my ears anyway).

Jesus. Following from my last post in Life Spugs...

I was about to comment how I thought it was a shame that there were alternate covers for The The albums as I really like the original cover illustrations by Andy Dog (Andrew Johnson). Just read that he passed away this year.

The last vestiges of my old cassette collection, mostly long gone, but now bolsters by (some of) my wives tapes too. We only have one tape player in the house these days, in the kitchen. Washing the dishes to Carter USM followed by Kirsten Hersh's Hips and Makers (which inexplicably I never replaced) has been a joy!
