Depends on the territory but I'm sure it's the same percentage as 2D tickets, hence the added ticket cost. In the US it can go from an 80%-50% split between studio and cinemas after first week of release. In China theatres take 80% of all profits in a run which is why successful US box-office is more sought after. But I don't think there's any % difference for 3D.

Very interesting.

You know, I've never seen any of the Dirty Harry movies. Really should do now, especially as Garland says that Dirty Harry was the only film they watched for reference while making the new film.

What's good? Is Dirty Harry the first one? Are any of the sequels worth a watch?

JOE SOAP

At least watch Dirty harry and especially Magnum Force - which has a story about a group of corrupt cops aspiring to and adopting Harry's almost Judge Jury & Executioner methods while seeking to systematise them at a higher level. It's almost like the birth of the Judges and instant justice.

MR. ELIMINATOR

I actually prefer Magnum Force over Dirty Harry. Those opening credits are the best I have ever seen.

CraveNoir

Magnum Force is a total classic, and looks gorgeous on Blu-Ray. I can't remember too much about subsequent films, but they're certainly not as good as this and Dirty Harry.

When Wagner or someone says Judge Dredd was "inspired by" Dirty Harry, it's Magnum Force that springs to mind rather than the previous film.

Goaty

Very odd request...

As watch it at screening last week, I like the music when
4 Judges on Lawsmasters
, what was it?

Yeah, Goaty you can listen to the whole soundtrack here (and it is also available to buy on iTunes): http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a403018/dredd-soundtrack-karl-urbans-2000ad-movie-score-in-full-listen.html

SHE'S A PASS

Yeah. Definitely get the Lalo Shifrin vibe! So much so I mentioned it on Paul Leonard-Morgan's facebook page.

It's a lovely homage to the source material, intentional or not.

Also, can someone flag it up when and where the physical version is available? I'm really not interested in downloading it.

Cheers!  :)

I believe the physical version is out on Sep 10th.

COMMANDO FORCES

It's not listed on play or amazon apart from the download version! I know it's coming out then but you would have thought that those sites would have it online to pre-order by now :'(

Exactly Judge Burdis!

I'm getting very impatient. You'd expect a pre-order by now.  :(
