Mongoose Games have announced the following :-

"JUDGE DREDD: TURF WARS
Coming to a tabletop near you in September 2004 - the first Judge Dredd miniatures game, Turf Wars! Players each take the role of gang leaders, commanding their punks and juves to become the top dogs of the block. Care must be taken, however, as the judges are always present and one slip could send you to the iso-cubes for life. Turf Wars begins with a box set containing the main rules, card terrain and a complete gang of multi-pose plastic 30mm miniatures. Blister pack releases will feature gang specialists (such as blitzers, assassins and fatties!), as well as the dreaded Judges."

Also there seems to be some kind of Nemesis game in the pipeline, its a little difficult to se what type from the blurb...

"NEMESIS THE WARLOCK
If you know 2000AD, you know Nemesis. If you don't, this will seem to be one of the weirdest sci-fi settings of all time, as an alien resistance led by the mysterious warlock does battle in Termight against the evil machinations of Torquemada and his determined Terminators. Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave!

Turf Wars sounds fun.

I imagine Nemesis might outrage some ignorant shoppies.

IIRC there was talk at some point of a Nemesis RPG- could it be that?

Stu

Yeah, the Nemesis game was announced as a RPG.
Anyone who's interested in these should check out the Mongoose forums. There was a press release posted there with more information regarding the turf wars game.

Indeed - I've been busily writing background material for it for the last couple of months! I'm trying to persuade them to include a 'Monkey in a Hat' figure...

It's going to be an RPG, utilising a brand new system (it's so new it doesn't even have a name yet!) that will emphasise roleplaying over number crunching. It'll allow characters to play as human members of the resistance, mandrakes and free robots.
The wages of sin are death, but the hours are good and the perks are fantastic.

Sod all that stuff - they're releasing a LONE WOLF ROLE-PLAYING GAME!!! (w00t)

As in Lone Wolf and Cub or as in those sub fighting fantasy books?

Generally Contrary

Sub?  They were superior!

They were books to be read with a game designed to be completed along the way.

FF were fiendishly difficult games consiting of a series of paragraphs.  Fun all the same.  But not as good as Joe Dever.

Pyroxian

Yup, definitely Superior, they were more like a role-playing game as you carried over your stats and equipment from book to book and felt like you were more part of a big story. Fantastic.
