Another trip down memory lane folks!

I used to love watching this short lived but very cool show with my late Dad. It was about future law marshalls in a post apocalyptic USA that patrolled the badlands in their own supertrucks with built in Car and helipcopter (I kid you not!) Called 'Highwaymen' it focused on Sam Jones character and some aussie guy with blonde spikey hair (Cant remeber his name but all i know he was an ex aussie rules football star.
It also starred that sexy babe out of 'V' and tuvok from ST:Voyager.
Created by the late great Glen A. Larson it was a mix of Knight rider, Airwolf, Street Hawk and more intrigingly Mad Max! Had a very western feel to the show and mixed many scifi elements with fantasy. Cool show but inexplicably never released on Dvd. I cant be the only one that remembers this?  :)

You're not! I remember it too. My folks used to tape each episode for me to watch the following day (because it was on at a RIDICULOUS hour in sleepy Devon.)

The blonde Aussie guy's name was Jetto.

Aha! I've got a handful of extra years on you (I'm 39) - but yeah. Really fun show. I'm kind of surprised it's never had a DVD release.

Yeah its crazy when you seem obscure shows that have got glorious box sets. Few mates got bootleg dvd copies but they were unwatchable. This was a few years ago mind. Seemingly the rigs are still on the road and turn up at various motor shows.  :)
One episode I always remember is where highway or jetto get imprisoned and have to break out. Remember being lucky not to break my legs trying to replicate that stunt with my sister jumping from high wall. Also the pilot episode which i did manage to catch recently had Claudia Christian from Babylon 5 in it. Preferred Jane Badler myself!  :)

Oi! Jacko. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_%22Jacko%22_Jackson.

I remember this, vaguely. One of a small number of late 80/early 90s US TV riffs on mid-career Mel Gibson hits (Highwayman=Mad Max, Max Monroe - Loose Cannon=Lethal Weapon)

The views above are entirely my own. And there's the problem.
