I was thinking about how I got into listening to power metal as a kid and remembered this:

And then I remembered that I still have this!

Where else has Dredd / 2000ad made its presence felt on other forms of media?
It's a joke. I was joking.

Cheers Skullmo, I'm always happy to re-read a bit of Sweeny Toddler!

The monthly is reprinting a story that appeared in the weekly comic.  From memory, the Whoopee logo was even more like the 80s 2000AD logo than it is there.

Wasn't there an episode of Primeval which had some nerds with 2000AD papering their walls?

Amy Reeder, artist on Rocket Girl, Madame Xanadu, & Batwoman, was asked what was the first comic that blew her mind. Her answer? Shamura. Specifically Quitely's first story. She even said that Rocket Girl was partially a homage to Inaba.

Dog Deever

The song 'Kali Yuga' by underground punk band 'Bin Laden's Daughter' is reputedly inspired by Black Siddha.
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

That was exactly my reaction.  I sometimes catch sight of her sister Lisa on Tracy Beaker, and think for a second that it's her.

Oh man, I had no idea! I just googled to see what you were on about . Now I am sad too. A horrible way to go too - I almost died of the same thing when I was 19.
