Oink comic featured a Dredd spoof strip called 'Judge Pigg' once.  Wish I could find it.  Also I remember an old Zig and Zag (are they known outside of Ireland at all?) book with a 'Judge Zag' strip in it, which was very funny in that it simply quoted Dredd word-for-word instead of adding any clever twist ('Drokk! It's the iso-cubes for you, creep!).

Here it is:

Xtro: what a weird, wonderful film. (though I've never seen any of the sequels).
Take my advice, don't. They excist only so HBD could get a quick buck out of a cult name. Though the second one had that guy from Airwolf....

Steve Green

Didn't Kev O'Neill have something to do with Xtro? I vaguely remember some involvement with a movie mentioned in a prog, or something else called Mirrorman?

Well, strike me pink.
"Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest"

Kudos

I seem to remember, while the whole OJ Simpson trial was going on, seeing a political cartoon in one of the daily papers showing a court clerk replacing Judge Ito's name plate with one saying Judge Joe Dredd. I remember being quite thrilled at the time about Dredd being a bit political and mainstream...

Anyone else see this at the time?

And here is the Zig and Zag comic Jayzus, if you look in the comments you will see the Dredd page. https://www.facebook.com/HiberniaComics/photos/pb.327287150716122.-2207520000.1430952039./509871995790969/?type=3&theater

Fair play, David!  Though to be honest that wasn't the one I had in mind - the one I was thinking about had Zag in Dredd's uniform.

Blimey, this is uncanny. Whoever was Judge Jimp at Thought Bubble must have been channelling Sweeny Toddler! Chicken on the arm, takeaway tray instead of egg box (though my sources tell me he did try that first...), marigolds and wellies. He may, or may not, have been wearing an adult nappy too, I couldn't possibly say. Amazing!

Just who was that masked idiot!?!
