No one else get a surprise in the post today....? Awesome cover by Clint Langley. Wasn't expecting this one to turn up so early. I've not read the whole bumper Christmas issue yet, so have only read Dredd so far. It's a cracker of a one-off from Michael Carroll and Paul Marshall, with superb colours from Gary Caldwell.

Rest of the prog looks fantastic.  Richard Elson is doing his best stuff ever here on Kingdom! ;)

Didn't get my surprise yesterday but just heard the postie at the door and got my bundle of loveliness today - off out so will read it later or more likely tomorrow as part of the cure for the inevitable hangover!

Skullmo

Loving the latest stront series. Actually excited to see where it goes.

Dredd reminded me of a batman animated series episode. Nice art, not a big fan if the story.

Not read the rest yet.
It's a joke. I was joking.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

It's just turned up.  Haven't finished the Xmas program yet.

Skullmo's bang on the money about Dredd feeling exactly like a Batman animated series episode! A nice little done-in-one tale. So many of Carroll's mult-parters end up sunk by a lack of internal logic and dissapointing endings, but his one-offs are always pretty great.

Kingdom really feels like its gearing up for a conclusion of sorts. Elson is putting an isane amount of detail into his art this time out! You really can tell that Kingdom's a labour of love for him.

Brain-melting art in ABC Warriors - Langley was born to be a black-and-white artist. I do miss the 'Captain Manwairing in an iron lung' version of Howard Quartz, spluttering with indignation as he waves his umbrella around his head; but this new machiavellan schemer is much more fitting as the gang's arch-foe.

Intriguing stuff in The Order. I'm guessing that 'the Rotting Man' is/was
our old pal Ritterstahl
...?

So glad that Strontium Dog's got its mojo back. Loved the fun and lunacy of the Jing Jong Job and looks like this'll be a belter, too - the proverbial 'impossible job', a great ensemble cast, a Stix-shaped spanner in the mix and Kid Knee's snarking. All the ingredients for a fun ol' jaunt in the classic mode.

Also loved the Jong Jong Job and this new SD tale looks like it'll be another belter!

Now that's what I call Proggage 1962.

Nice way to start the year Tharg, nice way indeed.

Really well crafted Dredd, okay was a little 'cute' but it worked really well. As did Kingdom, feels just like a insect infested, post apocolyptic comfie dressing gown, quite quite perfectly 2000ad.

Do we call it ABC Warriors or Ro-Busters? Who cares cos we can call it fun! Loved this as I did Strontium Dog, both just classic thrills done well.

Possibly thrill of the week though goes to The Order. I wanted a character back and I got him, never has red hair been used so inventively!

2016 Bloody hell YEAH!
