Looking at those Ron Smith drawings in hindsight I am in awe. Like many others I wasn't utterly head over heels. But the level of detail is incredible if not fantastic. Thanks for drawing my attention to forgotten exceptionalism. Z

I have NEVER understood how Brian Bolland went on to achieve his status in the comic industry while Garry Leach ended up inking other artists. That's not a pop at Bolland, just an observation that Leach is comfortably the draughtsman that Bolland is, with a similarly slick brush ink style...

Like I say... baffling.
