I have just recently being given a script by a wonderful writer which includes a Uranium City Judge. While I was given a pretty detailed discription, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some pics or have anything to add. (this site search turned up nada). Thanks.

Hi Shane

I don't rem. a Uranium city judge, I think maybe the writer has made this up, is it a Sov. judge?

There's a reference to Uranium City in the Dredd zone map on this site, so at least I now know where it is.  Other than that, I can't help, sorry.

Ah! Now I know where I'd heard of it.

You may be best trying to look at episodes of Harmony, Trevor Hairsine did a great job on 'Blood and Snow', Kevin Walker did some cool work on Harmony  as wellthe judges if I rem rightly wore suits similar to space suits to keep out the cold and their armour was similar to that of Storm Troopers - but the helmets looked like Souther Soldiers from Rogue Trooper...

I just googled Uranium City out of curiosity, and it seems that Harmony was set in Uranium city (Alaska), so tracking down some copies of the Meg, or asking someone here to scan some pages (if Judges appeared - I really don't remember) might be a good bet.

"Hey is that a New Jersey Harmony's wearing?  Idaho, Alaska.. etc.  Sorry.

Thanks alot fellas! This gives me something else to work with.

Ignorance Warning:

I had no idea that Trevor worked on 2000AD, I really like his work, but not a big fan of the characters he's worked on over here. I'm going to have to track down some of his other stuff...

Given that no-one is that sure what they look like you could always make 'em up :)

Wynter was an antarctic judge, or rather he'd been posted there as a punishment.

He wore a Justice Department eagle emblem on his suit.

Megs 2.73 - 2.75 and 3.01 - 3.05 have images of Uranium City judges, bikes, H-wagons and all.

They have a moose symbol on a diamond shaped chest badge, their belt buckle & the front of their lawmasters.

Their helmets are open-faced with a grid pattern on them and a small cap-bit as well.  They're difficult to describe well.  They do have a visor, but it looks more like giant wraparound shades; not sure if they're part of the helmet.

They have matching plain shoulder-pads, like tech-judges from MC-1.

Couldn't you have posted that about, I don't know, a minute or two or summatt, to save me looking like an idiot.

But I'm sorry- A moose, a bloody moose- If there Canadian they should have the mable leaf as the main insignia, and as for animal symbols in general- A wolf has better Judgicial annotations than a bloody dumb over fed caribou

Oh, I'm a Canadian Judge and I'm OK,
I sleep all night and I work all day.

I cut down trees, I wear high heels,
Suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie,
Just like my dear Papa.

Shane - I've got some scanning to do just now, so I'll dig out the relevant Megs and grab some pics for you. I'll post them here once they're ready.
