and the listing details

Thrill-Power Overload. 2000AD the first thirty years written by David Bishop. Paperback edition.

A great book in itself written by a former editor of the Prog and Meg.

This book has been to various signings during 2015 and has been signed by the following 2000AD creators:

On the cover:
John Wagner
Carlos Ezquerra
Brian Bolland
Mick McMahon
Jock
David Bishop (with a smudgy pen)

and on credits page by

Chris Weston
Laurence Campbell
Tom Foster
Chris Weston
Peter Doherty
Tom Foster
Leah Moore
John Reppion
Kev Walker
and finally
Mike Dowling

David Bishop has also signed his author photo on the back cover flap (same smudgy pen though)

The book comes with a signature map so you can see who has signed where, and with a DVD featuring about 100 pictures of all the creators signing, minus a couple who I grabbed at the end of panel talks without time to get a photo (Leah Moore and John Reppion if memory serves me correctly)

Damage report: this book has been carried to and from several comics events this years. There is a bit of a ding on the top spine edge. The cover has been opened and pressed flat for signature so many times that the binding is visible but still fully attached. A couple of the creators used dodgy pens (Bishop and Diggle as above).

And that's it. Now safe in a comic bag with board and posted to you in secure packaging

Placed a bid, immediately outbid. :-D

Great charity and congratulations on your fund raising efforts!

If the Dredd cover book is anything to go by then I reckon this will get £200 easy.  At that money I would be killed by the wife, especially this close to Christmas.  <sigh>

All sold.

That brings the total raised for Cancer Research UK by all my 2000AD signed items in the last two years to £1656.04

Thanks to all the creators who signed things and shared the auctions on their Twitter feeds. And thanks to everyone else for publicising the auctions, tweeting, bidding and, ultimately, buying the items.

Cheers all

Many thanks for organising this auction, Eamonn.

Somehow - I came out on top for the multi-signed copy of Thrill-Power Overload.  I didn't think I stood a chance.

Being based in Oz, the opportunity to attend a Tooth-related signing is non-existent.  I currently have ZERO signatures from 2000AD creators/artists.  So this edition will take pride of place in the 'cave.  For those that know their movies, "it's going straight to the pool room".

More importantly, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 - and has gone through the whole ordeal;  operations, chemo, radio, etc.  So your choice of charity is close to both our hearts.

PS - I just made payment for it.  ;)

Cheers,
Craig.

Dandontdare

well done to Eamonn for his tireless work getting things signed for charity, and to Krakajac for stumping up the cash to a worthy cause.

(PS - my spellchecker suggests I replace "Eamonn" with "Moonbeam", so  that's what I'm going to be calling him from now on  :D )

Dale:    The guy says he's got a copy of some comic book autographed by like EVERYONE
Darryl:  How much does he want for it?
Dale:    165
Darryl:  Tell him he's dreaming...

The Castle is a brilliant film.
And this is a brilliant cause - well done all.

The signed copy of Thrill-Power Overload is now safely on display.  I'll hunt down a book stand at some point so that I can display it vertically.

Many thanks for the disc of images and the signature map, Eamonn.  You thought of everything!  :)
